    Ed and I were able to meet up with our friends from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.There were 50-60 horseless carriages---from a 1904 REO to many FORD Ts with an interspersal of BUICKS, HUDSONS, CADILLACS, STANLEYS, MITCHELLS, MERCERS, WHITES, PACKARDS, EMFS, MOLINES, INTERSTATES, LOCOMOBILES, PIERCE ARROWS, STEVENS-DURYEAS, SAXONS, STUDEBAKERS,DORRIS, and DODGES.

    If it is possible this year’s show topped last year’s record of sixteen hundred cars!

    We have the largest available spot for the show and we were overflowing with cars.Many were turned away.

    There were hot rods, Buicks, Chevrolets, Packards, Pontiacs, Studebakers, Dodges, and even a Graham Paige at the show.Our car corral, basically our financial source, topped out at one hundred and thirty one cars for sale.
    The show featured Mennonite food and vendors which are always a treat for visitors.

  • SUNSHINE REGION'S INSTALLATION DINNER

    January 9th, Sunday, at Bentley's on US 41 in Osprey Arnold Berns congratulated the new board and recognized the people who helped him during the year.Ed & Lois Greer were given congratulatory certificates for their years tending the club's banner.Isabel Rauch received a certificate for handling shirts and badges for many years.Then Arnold gave the gavel of office to James Lynch, Sunshine Region President for 2011.
    Jim thanked Arnold for his hard work and presented him with a plaque containing a gavel that signified his past office.

  • 2010 BURNS COURT

    November 14th the MARC club and the Sunshine Region AACA had their cars displayed at Burns Court to celebrate Owen Burns' contribution to Sarasota, Florida.The Historical Society of Sarasota County, Friends of the History Center and the Mayor of Sarasota, Kelly Kirschner, recognized Owen Burn's contribution to Sarasota's development.

  • 2010 PIONEER PARK SHOW

    The Historical Society of Sarasota County was celebrating its 2nd Pioneer Day and asked the antique car clubs to participate by showing their cars.The Horseless Carriage Club showed up with a 1920 Winton by Charles Wake, a 1925 Dodge by John Anderson, a 1914 Overland by Ed Orr.The Model A club joined with a 1930 Sedan owned by Lois & Ed Greer and a 1930 Model A touring owned by Ed & Lorraine Orr.The AACA group was represented by the A's and the Overland PLUS Sam Upton's 1927 FORD Model T.
